1 The annual Enterprise Architecture Excellence Awards, first presented in 1997, will be awarded at this year's ZIFA Forum. This award is presented by the Zachman Institute for Framework Advancement (ZIFA) and the Pinnacle Business Group, Inc. The recipients of the 2004 Awards will be invited to present at Enterprise Architecture Forum in November. Further details and candidate submission requirements for the Enterprise Architecture Excellence Awards can be obtained on our web site, www.zifa.com. We encourage public sector, private sector, consultant, and vendor submissions, as awards are presented in appropriate categories.

2 Distribution & Document Management was recognized with a "Best Practices" award (honorable mention) in the prestigious, new EDUCAUSE Higher Education Awards Program in Long Beach, October 27, 1999. This was the ninth national award received by UC Irvine/ A&BS for process streamlining, administrative improvement, best practices, or innovation. Distribution & Document Management has also been recognized by a NACUBO Innovative Management Achievement Award.

3 UCI Administrative & Business Services 1998 Cause Award - Two University of California Teams Honored for Best Practices - Teams from the University of California Berkeley and Irvine campuses carried off the 1997 CAUSE awards for Best Practices in Higher Education Information Resources. CAL PACT (CAL People and Computer Training at UC Berkeley) won in the Professional Development category, and  BYPASS: Using Interactive Voice Response Technology in Parking Permit Sales (UC Irvine) won in the Applications category.
